Bogart & Barr consists of a group of individuals who have worked together for many years. In addition to this core team, we use freelance copyeditors and proofreaders and bring in other staff as needed. All projects are managed in-house.
Dave Bogart is an editor and writer with in-depth knowledge of the publishing and library fields in the United States. He has extensive international experience as a newspaper and magazine journalist, and since 1995 has been editor of The Bowker Annual Library and Book Trade Almanac (Information Today Inc.).
Catherine Barr is a writer, editor, and specialist in content and new product development for both print and Web. She has extensive experience in reference publishing both in Europe and the United States. She is editor of Libraries Unlimiteds Childrens and Young Adult Literature Reference series and author or coauthor of many books, including

Christine McNaull is a graphic designer and illustrator with experience in print, Web, and exhibition panel formats. She is also a highly skilled production artist with the ability to manage projects of all sizes, from simple, text-based products to complex projects generated from databases. Among the books she has designed are From Biography to History, (R. R. Bowker, 1998) Reading in Series (R. R. Bowker, 1999), and Hunterdon Medical Center 19532003: Fifty Years of Medical Excellence.

Julia Miller is a database specialist, responsible for structuring information in the most efficient way to generate the desired end-product print and/or Web-based. She has managed the data flow for complex books such as A to Zoo, Best Books for Children, and Popular Series Fiction, and has developed methods of breaking complex material into component parts that speed the transfer of textual data into a database format. She also participates in the production of e-books that are found on Project Gutenberg.
